Growth Roadmap 2026
Growth Roadmap 2026 (GR26) is Garden City’s roadmap for turning long-range priorities into visible progress. Rather than replacing existing plans, GR26 organizes initiatives, identifies opportunities, prepares future work, and connects community priorities with action.
GR26 brings the City’s planning work into one coordinated structure so projects and ideas can remain visible as they move through different stages of development, partnership, funding, and implementation.
Building a Stronger Garden City
Growth Roadmap 2026 is organized around six strategic pillars:
Focuses on housing, neighborhood stability, redevelopment, land use, and responsible growth.
Supports small businesses, entrepreneurship, commercial reinvestment, and economic opportunities that create greater local value.
Advances shade, trees, green spaces, environmental resilience, and improvements that make public places healthier and more comfortable.
Strengthens arts, culture, placemaking, community identity, and the visible quality of the places residents experience every day.
Improves walking, biking, trails, neighborhood routes, and safer connections to parks, schools, businesses, and public destinations.
Keeps initiatives visible through partner coordination, public updates, progress tracking, and long-term follow-through.
