Mission and Vision

Code Enforcement helps protect public health, safety, and quality of life by addressing property maintenance concerns and enforcing applicable City ordinances. The division works with residents, businesses, and property owners to encourage compliance and maintain safe, attractive neighborhoods and commercial areas throughout Garden City.

Garden City Code Enforcement works under the Planning Department to enforce City Ordinances, Zoning Regulations. Stormwater Enforcement and the the adopted International Property Maintenance Code and assist with the inspection and enforcement of all other adopted codes as applicable to Garden City.

Maintaining Properties

Maintaining properties benefits neighborhoods, businesses, and the community as a whole. Code Enforcement works to address violations fairly and consistently while helping property owners understand their responsibilities under City ordinances. Residents are encouraged to report concerns and work with staff to help keep Garden City clean, safe, and well-maintained.
