JOB SUMMARY
The City of Garden City has a job opportunity for a Water Operations Technician in the Water Department.
This position is under the administrative supervision of the Director of the Water Operations Department and is responsible for performing unskilled work functions associated with water distribution, reading water meters, sewer collection, and repair and/or replacement of lines, manholes, valves, and fire hydrants.
High school diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED); and one (1) year of experience with public water or sewer repair systems or comparable job experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
You will also be required to submit to a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and criminal background investigation, and a driving history report.
