JOB SUMMARY:

The Outreach Coordinator performs professional and administrative work coordinating community engagement initiatives for the Garden City Parks and Recreation Department. Under the direct supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director, this role bridges communication gaps, fosters inclusivity, and expands program participation among local Hispanic and Latino families. The coordinator designs, promotes, and executes culturally relevant sports and recreational activities. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. A Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, or a related field is highly preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in community outreach, sports management, or public relations.

Required Qualifications: Bilingual Proficiency: Advanced, professional fluency in both verbal and written English and Spanish.

Special Qualifications: Must possess a valid Georgia Driver’s license with an acceptable driving history and First Aid and CPR certifications.
