Chatham City Pump Station Replacement GEFA Project #2013-LO7WJ
The work includes two Divisions or work. Division I includes pump station construction and Division II includes pavement reconstruction. Division I includes demolition of an existing wastewater pumping station and construction of new wastewater pumping station including: 26 foot deep 8 foot inside diameter precast concrete wetwell, precast concrete valve pit, new pump equipment, piping, appurtenances, and site improvements. The contractor is required to furnish and install all equipment and materials and to construct all improvements indicated. The work includes maintaining sewer system service and bypass pumping as required, demolition of existing facilities, excavation, dewatering, installation of new precast concrete wetwell and valve pit structures, site improvements, installation of force main piping, start up and testing of the facilities, installation of sanitary sewer lines and manholes, installation of water service line and appurtenances, concrete pavement, fencing, and other related work as detailed on the drawings and specifications. Division II includes reconstruction of Harley Drive including: asphalt pavement demolition and pavement construction, installation of speed bumps, restoration of site, and other related work as detailed on the drawings and specifications.
Separate sealed Bids for construction of the Chatham City Pump Station Replacement GEFA Project #2013-LO7WJ will be received by the City of Garden City, Georgia (also referred to as Owner) from General Contractors, including all associated work labor and materials, equipment and appurtenances required to complete the work.
Bids will be received at the City of Garden City, 100 Central Avenue, Garden City, GA 31405, at 2:00 p.m. legal local time, Wednesday, January 18, 2017 and then publicly opened and read aloud. Bids submitted by mail or courier are required to be delivered before the Bid Opening time stated above and should be addressed to City of Garden City, 100 Central Avenue, Garden City, Georgia 31405, Attention: Ronald Feldner, City Manager.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at Garden City, City Hall, located at 100 Central Avenue, Garden City, GA 31405, at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting.
No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds Georgia Utility Contractor's License of proper classification and in full force and effect, in compliance with Act O.C.G.A. 43 14.
No bid may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled for a period of sixty (60) days after time designated for receipt of Bids or until notified by Owner, whichever is sooner.
Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in the amount of five percent of the bid amount. The successful bidder must be able to provide a Payment Bond and Performance Bond within ten days of Notice of Award. The Payment Bond and Performance Bond must be in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount.
A non-collusion affidavit must be completed and submitted as part of the Contractor's bid.
City of Garden City, Georgia reserves right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities, technicalities, and informalities.
