The City’s Public Works crews have opened an emergency access road onto Water Oak Way for Hawkinsville Road residents to enter and exit through The Oaks neighborhood onto Hawkinsville Road until the work is completed.

STARTING MONDAY, JULY 13, 2026, UNTIL THE WORK IS COMPLETED

The City has been advised that CSX will close the Hawkinsville Road railroad crossing to all vehicular traffic starting on Monday, July 13, 2026, until the work is completed. This project includes installing new rail.

The City’s Public Works crews have opened an emergency access road onto Water Oak Way for Hawkinsville Road residents to enter and exit through The Oaks neighborhood onto Hawkinsville Road until the work is completed.
