Sealed bids will be received for Intersection Improvements Chatham Parkway at Telfair Place in the offices of:

until 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. No late bids will be opened or considered.

The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following:

  • Installation of a new traffic signal and associated pedestrian facilities, pavement markings and signage at the intersection of Chatham Parkway and Telfair Place.

The Plans, Specifications and other Contract Documents are available for inspection at the office of Hussey Gay Bell.

One (1) set of Plans, Specifications and other Contract Documents may be obtained by application, accompanied by a check or money order in the amount of $100.00 payable to Hussey Gay Bell. No refund will be made for returned documents.

All questions concerning the Plans, Specifications and other Contract Documents should be directed, in writing, to Hussey Gay Bell, attention Mr. Jeffrey Netzinger or by email to jnetzinger@husseygaybell.com.

Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the bid sum. The successful bidder must be able to provide a Payment Bond and Performance Bond within ten days of Notice of Award. These bonds must be in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount.

In accordance with State of Georgia Code Section 43-14-8.2(h), the low bidder must furnish proof that they have a Utility Contractor's License before a contract will be executed.

Interested parties are invited to attend a pre-bid meeting that will convene at 3:00 PM on Tuesday September 29, 2015 in the Executive Conference Room at Garden City City Hall, 100 Central Avenue, Garden City, Georgia 31405.

A non-collusion affidavit must be completed and submitted prior to a contract award.

The City of Garden City, Georgia reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities.
