Garden City Convention and Visitor's Bureau (GCCVB) Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Garden City Hotel and Meeting Space/Multipurpose Center Feasibility Study

The GCCVB seeks a well-qualified firm (or teams of firms) that has specific experience in the preparation and implementation of feasibility studies. It is expected that the selected firm will prepare a feasibility study that evaluates the market demand for a hotel with conference/meeting room facilities and possible multipurpose facility.

The GCCVB desires the study to substantiate the market analysis with sound data analysis and provide a recommendation regarding the feasibility of developing hotels and meeting space in the City of Garden City. The selected consultant will be one that has demonstrated experience in preparation of city-wide feasibility studies, preferably those with specific experience in feasibility studies for hotels and/or conference facilities.

The study should address the current and projected market demand for the number, type and duration of hotel stays in the City; a competitiveness analysis on what a hotel facility must do to provide a profitable alternative to the region’s existing hotel stock; and an economic feasibility analysis and proforma for a potential hotel with meeting or multipurpose facilities. The resulting analysis will be provided to Garden City City Council, potential hotel developers, management companies and brands interested in a Garden City hotel project.
