Does my home or bussiness have to have an address number posted on it?
Yes, in accordance with Building Code and Section 18-9 of the City's Code of Ordinances, every resident or building is required to have an address number at least 4 inches tall mounted on the main structure where it is clearly visible from the street. This is to ensure that Police,
Fire Department, and Paramedics can respond
quickly and accurately in time of need. You can read that section of the City's Code here: Address Numbering Requirements
Stormwater is water that flows over yards, streets, buildings, parking lots, and other surfaces when it rains. Stormwater runoff flows into local streams, canals, and wetland areas and, eventually, ends up in the Savannah River, or recharges the local groundwater table.
