Habitat for Humanity "Faith Build" Groundbreaking in Garden City
Over 11 Churches Represented!
Over 11 churches were represented in the Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity’s “Faith Build” Groundbreaking on Wednesday, April 17th in Garden City at 4108 6th Street within the Rossignol Hill community.
All of the upfront costs to pay for the construction of the new Faith Build home will come from the local faith community and partners. The Lead Faith Partner for this home is Thrivent Financial who is generously providing a grant to help build the home. A Faith Build is an opportunity for Habitat and faith based communities to partner together to build a home for a local family through prayer, volunteerism, and financial support. It embodies Habitat’s firm belief that every faith can be put into action. The Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity and the faith groups are still raising the required funds and seeking volunteers for this build scheduled to begin soon, so if you or congregation would like to partner, please contact the Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity.
This project will also complement the ongoing owner-occupied repairs, being led by the Garden City Housing Team as a part of the larger effort to revitalize neighborhoods with Garden City.
